Red Edition is a self-organization of migrant sex workers in Vienna. With info campaigns and political actions, the organization seeks to make migrant sex workers visible in society. The aim of Red Edition is to improve the living conditions of sex workers. On the International Day Against Violence Against Sex Workers (on 17 December 2016), Red Edition organized a flash mob at the exhibition “Sex in Vienna”. Together with other organizations, on 2 June 2017 (“International Whores’ Day”) Red Edition organized a day of action to fight for better working conditions for sex workers. Red Edition also took part in Vienna Pride in Vienna on 17 June 2017. This was a historic moment, because it was the first time in Austria that (migrant) sex workers visibly participated in the Pride Parade.
