About Cupiditas

Cupiditas is an informational leaflet for sexworkers and allies that is produced annually by maiz with migrant people working in the sex industry. It is our intention to offer Cupiditas as a platform for information and exchange – which means that YOU are also welcome to write something for this publication, ask us questions, or set a topic!

Cupiditas should provide you with different kinds of information on different subjects such as law, health etc., but also act as a vehicle for networking, where sex workers can find support and confidence to start or continue the fight for their rights.

The leaftlet is available in five languages: German, English, Spanish, Romanian and Hungarian. Our desire is to make it available in other languages, so if you are interested in collaborating with the translation, please contact us.

The first Cupiditas was published in 1999 in three languages: Spanish, Hungarian and German. Below you can see how our magazine started. One of the key goals was to inform sex workers about safer sex. Over time, it was possible to broaden the content and bring in more information about sex work activism.
