“Crossings” deals with how the criminalization of sex work affects migrant sex workers in Europe and how they resist it. The film tells the stories of five people from five different countries (Serbia, Macedonia, France, Spain and Norway). They have different backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common: they are all migrants working in sex work. The film also shows how governments deal with sex work and migration: the lives of the five people are heavily marked by police controls, arrests, deportations
and imprisonment.
The film was produced by sex workers’ organizations and the International Committee on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe (ICRSE).
